Early Childhood Education - Associate Degree Program at Bay State College

The Early Childhood Education program prepares graduates to become professionals in the education and development of young children. Graduates of the program satisfy the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care guidelines for employment as a teacher of children in early childhood settings, including child care centers, nursery schools and preschools.

Students in this program complete two required 150 hour practicum (internships) in a professional child care setting and may find employment in an early childhood setting or may transfer for further study at the bachelor's level in such fields as education, psychology, or human services.
